About Me
Born in NZ, I grew up in Te Atatu, West Auckland and attended Rutherford High School and Auckland Medical School, graduating in 1988.
I gained valuable experience as a junior doctor at Thames, Greenlane and Palmerston North Hospitals before completing a diploma in Obstetrics and traveling overseas.
Between 1991 and 1993 I worked as a SHO in England and Australia and returned to NZ in 1994 to enter the GP training program.
Waiuku has become our ‘forever home’ and looking back I see myself as very privileged to have been able to attend to family health needs in Waiuku for almost 30 years.
I really appreciate our surrounding rural setting and in my spare time enjoy cycling, swimming and kayaking in the local waterways.
I enjoy all aspects of general practice and have a role as a teacher for GP trainees at Waiuku Health Centre.
As a practice partner I have shared responsibility for strategic planning at the medical centre.
Luckily I work alongside a team of positive and resourceful staff and colleagues. It is very much the whole team effort that ensures safe health care in our large community.
