About Me
Richard was born and raised in The Netherlands. Before becoming a Dutch trained GP in 2005, he studied Tropical Medicine and worked in Vanuatu. Always wanting to work in a rural area he came to New Zealand in 2007 as a locum to Waiuku. After a return back to Holland he and his family came back to settle in 2009."For me Waiuku has a good mix of people and a great lifestyle for my family"He has a special interest in minor surgery, the end of life care and "coaching" a patient through all stages of life.Richard is married and has four children. He loves his running, cycling and the great outdoors.
